May 1, 2018: Under its toy division, Sakar has entered into the ‘Wheeled Goods’ market with a brand-new line of bikes, trikes, scooters, skateboards, roller skates, wagons, helmets, and protective gear– both licensed and proprietary.
Leveraging its long-standing role as a global leader in licensed youth electronics, Sakar will be rolling out several new lines at Walmart and other retailers beginning in June, just in time for summer. The well-rounded lines are filled with color and whimsy, incorporating fun features such as sounds, lights, steam, unique molds, and ‘best in class’ brands.
First-to-market will be the Fisher-Price® line, the best-known infant and toddler brand in the world. This line is aimed at the pre-school market and is full of innovation. Hero items include the Fisher-Price® Corn Popper® Scooter and Rock-A-Stack® Trike and Balance Bikes. The Classic Corn Popper Walker has evolved into a ride-on scooter, which will help teach kids how to balance and ride a scooter safely. As the child rides on the scooter they will hear the familiar popping sounds and see balls move about at the base, taking their favorite toy to the next level. The Fisher-Price Corn Popper Scooter is currently available at Walmart, and will also be on shelf soon at other retailers for just $29.96. The tricycle is based on the classic Fisher-Price Rock-a-Stack toy and made for a stable and comfortable ride. The easy-to-steer trike has the added element of floating rings within the see-through front wheel hub, allowing the young rider to see and hear their progress with every pedal forward. The rings make noises as they tumble about when the child pedals. These soft, quiet tires that can be used indoors or out, making for year-round fun. The Rock-a-Stack Tricycle will retail at $49.99.
The Fisher-Price Balance Bike helps to teach kids proper balance as well as hand and foot coordination, making for a safe and comfortable way to learn until they feel ready to pedal on their own. The Fisher-Price Balance Bike will retail for $39.99.
Sakar is also introducing a line of skateboards aimed at the youth market and under license from the world’s most renowned skateboard star and icon, Tony Hawk. Starting at a budget-friendly price point of $14.97, these skateboards are affordable but still offer excellent quality and creative designs. The range includes 31-inch street decks, cruisers, and longboards – all with the appropriate specs to ensure the best possible experience for young riders as they enter the sport.
MGA Entertainment’s L.O.L. Surprise! ®, the No. 1 selling toy of 2017 in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Benelux* with continued success as the No. 1 U.S. toy of 2018 YTD March** will be debuted as a line of girl’s helmets retailing at $19.97 at Walmart later this summer. This multi-vented, CPSC approved helmet offers vibrant and fashion-forward design. The helmet comes with an easy-fit snap closure and foam fit pads on the interior to allow for maximum comfort.
Under their proprietary line, Sakar will be debuting a fanciful ‘Unicorn’ Scooter. The front of the scooter features the head of a unicorn, allowing every small child to be able to ride a unicorn! Its sturdy, well-balanced 3-wheel design makes it easy to use for children ages 3 and up. The scooter has lights and sounds that add to the magical aesthetic, making for a great overall experience. The Unicorn Scooter will be available at $39.99.
