| Five Models from $29.99 to $99.99, Including First True 3 Megapixel HD Webcam
EDISON, NJ — Sakar International has introduced a new line of KODAK webcams featuring one-stop, plug-and-play connectivity to the most popular instant message, Voice over IP and social media services as well as built-in photo/video management capabilities.
Scheduled for fall release, the new KODAK webcam series consists of five SKUs with MSRPs of $29.99 to $99.99, including the first driver-free webcam under $30 (S100); an auto focus webcam at $59.99 (T130); and the first webcam with a high-definition true 3 megapixel sensor (P310HD). The line also includes a twin-pack of the entry-level model (W100) – one to keep and one to give – and a native 2 megapixel auto focus webcam (L200).
All SKUs are PC and Mac system compatible – an industry first that simplifies both consumer selection and retailer stocking – and provide an easy and user-friendly video calling experience.
Auto-Connect to IM & VoiP Services
With the new KODAK webcams, there is no need to scour your computer to find and launch YAHOO!, AOL, MSN Instant Messenger or SKYPE services to set up a video call or video IM session. Simply open the webcam software from the icon on your desktop, choose the “Connect” tab, hit the button for the service you want, and the pre-installed application will pop up and launch automatically. No additional software or drivers are needed.
Drag-and-Drop Images to Social Media
Instead of saving videos and pictures to your computer’s “My Pictures” folder, the webcam software temporarily stores your images in its own built-in video/photo manager for easy access. Then, from the Manager screen, you can upload any video or photo to the appropriate album on your PC or to top social media sites such as KODAK Gallery, Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, YouTube and PHOTOBUCKET simply by dragging-and-dropping to the appropriate button. You can also drag-and-drop images from one service to another quickly and easily.
Sakar’s new KODAK webcams are compatible with WINDOWS XP/VISTA/7 as well as MAC OSX 10.5 and above.

| Extra-Bright Portable Digital Photo Viewer from Sakar Set for September Release
EDISON, NJ — Fresh on the heels of Kodak’s new “It’s Time to Smile” marketing campaign comes the KODAK Smile G150 Digital Photo Keychain from Sakar International. This pocket-sized digital viewer measures up to Kodak’s reputation for quality with a capacity of more than 100 images, an extra-bright 1.5” LCD screen, and built-in software enabling plug-and-play use. It also reinforces Kodak’s commitment to unleash the power of images to help people stay emotionally connected with friends and family.
The new KODAK-branded portable photo viewer makes it possible to keep favorite photos on hand at all times. Images are rendered in crisp detail on an LCD engineered to be two to three times brighter than standard products, and can display either one at a time or in a slideshow.
The built-in photo upload software eliminates the need to install a third-party program, making it easy to transfer photos from your PC or Mac. Simply plug the device into your computer’s USB port, and the Photo Uploader (for PCs) or DPKMate (for Macs) will open automatically to your My Pictures folder or file directory depending on your operating system. Images can also be resized, rotated, cropped, and changed to a different text and/or background color from the easy-to-use interface.
The KODAK Smile G150 Digital Photo Keychain will be available in black, gray, red, blue and silver at major retailers in late September for an MSRP of $29.99. It is compatible with Windows XP/Vista and Mac OS 10.4.6 or later; comes with a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery that lasts for roughly two hours when fully charged; and includes a USB cable and printed manual.
The product is the first to be released under a license agreement between Kodak and Sakar that was announced in March. It will be followed in Q4 by a series of KODAK-branded webcams offering special features for social media connectivity.

Written by Bruce Pechman, The Muscleman of Technology (www.mrbicep.com) Do you love Nintendo’s Wii Sports Resort? Well, you’re probably not alone. Get this—according to Nintendo, since the July 26th launch, over 525,000 units were sold in the U.S. through 8/14! Are
you looking to enhance the realism of Wii Sports Resort? I have some
good news for you: SAKAR’s Sports Resort 5-in-1 Sports Pack is 100%
compatible with the Wii MotionPlus controller and is the only accessory
package that I know of at this time dedicated to and marketed
exclusively for Nintendo’s Wii Sports Resort. So what do you get
for the average street price of $14.95? A totally cool adjustable /
folding Jet Ski Handle Bar set (accommodates both the Wii MotionPlus
& Nunchuk together) for greater control simulating the feel of
riding an actual jet ski in the open waters of your living room (just
go with me on this). You also get a half-molded Frisbee disc into which
you place your Wii-mote to give you that virtual reality “interactive”
experience when throwing the Frisbee to your cute little doggy. I
really liked the Frisbee accessory the most as it will improve your
Frisbee throwing accuracy a lot. The 2 Foam Swords for dueling
swordplay are a little cheesy, but hey still pack a lot of fun and
punch into the Swordplay mini-game. My only beef is the box
picture shows the Jet Ski Handle Bars in black, which looks way cooler
than the white plastic set included—for $15 SAKAR’s Sports Resort
5-in-1 Sports Pack is a no brainer for Wii Sports Resort fans of any
age. SAKAR does include a one-year warranty should you get carried away and ruin your Red sword like I did
I mean my dog ate my Red Sword after I gave her the idea it was a dog
toy by engaging her in a duel…Forgive Me Father for I have sinned! Reviewed at Digital Chumps.

Nothing will get you out of bed faster than Darth Vader staring at
you in bed. I mean, it's just hard to feel comfortable under the covers
when you know the Sith Lord is staring you down.
If that sounds pleasant to you, the Darth Vader clock radio might be
right up your alley. With the time displayed in the eyes, you'll have
to look right into his dark soul to see if it's time to wake up or not.
Even better? Darth will wake you up with his trademark James Earl Jones
voice. And if that doesn't get you out of bed, well, nothing will. From Dvice.

Oh, man. This post writes itself. The Darth Vader Alarm Clock Radio
booms orders to wake yourself in the voice of James Earl Jones and
displays the time with menacing red LEDs shining from the Dark Lord’s
eyes. But obviously that doesn’t matter. This is the head of a
decapitated Sith Lord on your nightstand, and you can be sure it will
find your lack of wakefulness disturbing.
Of course, the maker, Sakar, shouldn’t be too proud of this
technological terror it’s constructed. The ability to wake a person is
insignificant next to the power of the Force. And wake him it will.
Along with Vader’s baritones are a radio and a jack for an MP3 player
to tempt you back from the Dark Side. This would, in fact, be the
perfect Christmas gift. Speaking of which, I have a question for you:
How did Darth Vader know what Luke had gotten for Christmas? He’d felt
his presents (Rimshot). From Wired's Gadget Lab

worldwide brand name and associated intellectual property from Syntax-Brillian
Corporation, the parent company of 70-year-old photographic equipment maker
Vivitar Corporation. The acquisition equips Sakar with a well-known camera
brand that the company will use to expand its own mass-market camera line, add
higher-price camera SKUs, introduce other Vivitar-branded consumer products,
and gain overall market visibility.
Sakar is a market
leader in digital cameras and related accessories to the mass retail channel and
a producer of various other technology, toy and consumer electronic products. The
company’s current camera products retail from $20 to $100.
The Vivitar-branded cameras

In addition, Sakar plans to add other Vivitar-branded

explore licensing opportunities in various categories. Sakar currently holds
licenses for major brand franchises including Crayola, Hello Kitty, Star Wars,

For Dummies.
“This acquisition positions
our company to substantially increase market share in the camera space as well
as leverage the Vivitar brand name in numerous other ways,” said Sakar CEO and
founder Charles Saka. “It is a core building block for our next phase of
growth.”
“Linking ourselves
to Vivitar will strengthen our presence on the retail shelf while also enabling
retailers to buy more product from a single source,” added Sakar COO Ralph
Sasson. “We will now have an even more extensive product line at multiple price
points.”
Vivitar was founded in
1938 and grew to become a leading manufacturer of both digital and film
cameras, including one of the broadest product lines of digital cameras
spanning entry-level VGA cameras to twelve-megapixel digital cameras with zoom
optics for the amateur and serious digital photographer. The company was
acquired by Syntax-Brillian in 2006.

Consumer Products to design and develop a full range of consumer electronics based on next Summer’s live action film, Speed Racer, a family adventure that follows the young race car driver Speed in his quest for glory on and off the track in his thundering Mach 5.
Sakar will debut its Speed Racer consumer electronics collection to the trade at the International Toy Fair in February 2008. The collection will include digital still and video cameras, alarm clock radios, walkie-talkies, flashlights, MP3 players, text messengers and more. Prices will range from $5-80. Product will launch across all retail channels including mass and specialty to coincide with the May 9th movie release date.
“Speed Racer is one of the most highly anticipated films of 2008 and the accompanying product line from Sakar will only serve to increase the excitement of fans everywhere,” said Karen McTier, Executive Vice President of Domestic Licensing and Worldwide Marketing, Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

The film stars Emile Hirsch (Alpha Dog) as Speed, Christina Ricci (Black Snake Moan) as Trixie and Matthew Fox (TV’s Lost) as Racer X as well as Oscar winner Susan Sarandon (Dead Man Walking) and John Goodman (Evan Almighty) as Mom and Pops Racer.
